Engineering

IMG_0245The Engineering division is managed by the County Engineer and fulfills all of the statutory requirements of the county road engineer under RCW 36.75 and WAC Title 136 while providing technical and administrative oversight of all County transportation infrastructure, assets, and utilization. 

Division oversight covers Adams County's 1,930 square miles by administration and management of 1,775 county road miles (650 paved miles and 1125 unpaved miles); 655 miles of road striping; 25 miles of guardrail; 121 county bridges; 177 drainage structures; 3,643 culverts; 4,717 sign posts; and 8,634 sign plates.

The Engineering division also conducts or administers research and provides information and technical support to other county divisions, departments, and the public concerning roads, bridges, drainage, surveys, monuments, subdivisions, and right-of-way.
