Personal Property & Warrant Deputy

Description : The Adams County Treasurer's Office is accepting applications for the full time position of Personal Property & Warrant Deputy.

Persons in this position perform and are responsible for the administrative, bookkeeping and clerical functions involving the auditing and collection of all personal property accounts; including mobile homes, and the maintenance of daily cash balances of all county and designated agency funds, to assure their availability for expenditure and investment. May initiate or assist with any legal acton necessary to insure collection of assessed taxes to prevent the loss of county revenue.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and knowledge of office related computer software (Word, Excel, etc.). Billingual abilities preferred but not required. Two(2) years prior work experience in a similar position that included bookkeeping responsibility; or a combination of education, training or work experience which demonstrate the ability to perform the required functions. Work specific training or education in a related field at an accredited college, university or other educational institution may be substituted for required work experience. Applicant must be bondable and possess a valid Washington State Drivers License.

This position is classified at Range eight(8) of the Adams County Union Salary Structure, with a beginning salary range of $13.68 to $15.60, depending upon qualifications and experience, plus a full county benefit package.
