Maintenance Worker Apprentice

Description : Adams County Department of Public Works is accepting applications for a Maintenance Worker Apprentice.

Assignments will involve working outdoors in all weather conditions while performing maintenance and litter activities, which require labor and /or operation of power equipment.

All applicants must possess a valid Washington State Driver’s license. The successful applicants will receive classroom/instruction, driving training and proficiency development while employed with Adams County Public Works.  Following completion of the training and coursework applicants earn eligibility to sit for a state knowledge and skills exam.  Completion of the assessment may result in a State Class ‘A’ CDL for successful candidates. 

Position requires a Flagging and Traffic Control card within 90 days of employment.
