We encourage our customers to use online services for code enforcement concerns. Customers may also make appointments with staff.
Adams County Code Enforcement responds to citizen complaints regarding building, zoning, land use code violations. Benefits of code enforcement include safer, more attractive neighborhoods, greater community pride and higher property values.
When complaints do not result in violations, we recommend mediation services as an alternative to resolving neighborhood issues.
Frequently asked questions:
Do you take anonymous complaints?
Yes. However, if the violation cannot be seen from a public
roadway and you are not willing to provide your contact
information, your complaint will be closed without further action
or notification from our office. Code Enforcement does not
release complaining party information unless required to do so
through an official public records request.
How many cars can I have on my property?
Adams County does regulate the number of cars you can have
on your property long as they are in good running condition.

Typically, any trucks that weigh more than 10,000 pounds or
trailers longer than 20 feet may NOT be left or parked on the
street or in the county road right of way in residential areas.
