              Emergency Housing
Adams County Integrated Health Care Services provides temporary Emergency Housing into our local motels and shelters for individuals and families based on eligibility. 

Motel Assistance:
Temporary Motel Assistance is available for individuals with or without children. An applicant may only apply once in any given year for assistance. Qualifying applicants are housed in a motel for a few days until they are referred out to another housing resource that can provide the applicant with additional/longer assistance.

Short-Term Shelter Assistance:
Temporary Shelter Assistance is available for families of single parent or two-parent households with dependent children under 18 years of age. This is a case-managed program where families are to actively work on employment goals and stability to obtain permanent housing. Qualifying families are placed in a shelter home and must be involved in active move out plan and meet with the housing coordinator on a weekly basis; including unscheduled home visits. 

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
  • Screening Applications are done by appointment ONLY
  • Applicants are seen on Tuesday's only, as scheduled
  • Do NOT miss your appointment
HOUSING APPOINTMENTS:
  •  Appointments available on Tuesdays only from 8 am-12 pm & 1 pm - 5 pm

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
  • Photo ID for all applicants 18 years and older
  • Proof of Income for all applicants 18 years and older
  • Proof of Guardianship of all children/dependents in your care
  • Proof of homelessness (example: eviction notice, statement from natural support, documentation of exiting an institution like jail or hospital) for all applicants 18 years and older
 ELIGIBILITY:
  • Meet applicable income guidelines
  • Must be homeless, at risk of homelessness or living in substandard housing
  • Must be drug free while in our program
  • Must pass a criminal background check
    • You cannot have any felonies
    • You have not been a perpetrator of domestic violence/abuse of any type
    • You cannot have an active warrant our for your arrest
  • Must be an Adams County Resident up until becoming homeless
  • Must not have already applied for assistance to our program in the last 12 months
  • If you have been helped in the past, must not be on the agency's Do Not Assist list for having violated rules and requirements during the time you were in the program
