District Court Clerk - Othello

Description :

The Adams County District Court in Othello is accepting applications for a full time Clerk.  Candidate will perform a full range of office and courtroom administrative support services to assist in the administration of the District Court. The position involves performing a wide variety of technical operations requiring specialized clerical knowledge. Duties include computer entry, scanning and filing of legal documents as well as preparing court calendars for civil, criminal, small claims, and traffic infraction cases.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and knowledge of office administrative support practices.  Required skills for this position include personal computer operation, word processing, data entry, file preparation and management, basic bookkeeping, and safekeeping of confidential information. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced office environment and to work with the public. Bilingual abilities desired. Position is Range B of the Adams County Courthouse Bargaining Unit Salary Structure with a beginning salary of $17.24 - $18.03/ hour DOE.
