Job Summary: The Adams County Prosecuting Attorney’s office is seeking applicants for an entry level position of Civil Deputy Prosecuting Attorney. The position includes advising the Board of County Commissioners, Elected Officials, and Department Heads in various civil matters concerning county government. Deputies are expected to take part in occasional ex-officio coroner duties as needed. The Adams County Prosecutor’s Office offers manageable caseloads, greater prosecutorial autonomy, and advancement opportunities.
Salary: $68,163.28 - $86,995.54 annually DOE, plus discretionary annual step increases within the salary range and discretionary annual cost of living adjustment.

County Location: Adams County is centrally located in Eastern Washington with historic Ritzville being the County seat and Othello being the County’s growing population center. A Spokane Transit Authority vanpool is available for commuting between Spokane and Ritzville.
Candidates must be a member in good standing of the Washington State Bar Association, or a recent law school graduate awaiting Bar results. Must have a valid Washington State Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one prior to start date. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Prior prosecution experience not required.
