The Office of the Adams County Prosecuting Attorney is accepting applications for the position of Administrative Assistant/ Victim Witness Coordinator. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to: providing outreach to victims and witnesses of criminal cases filed in the Superior and District Courts of Adams County; acting as a liaison between victims/witnesses and prosecutors to assist with the prosecution of criminal cases for trial and/or hearings; conducting interviews of witness and victims; as well as managing support staff, preparing payroll and accounts payable, assisting prosecutors with civil matters, and serving as the first assistant to the Chief Deputy Prosecutor and Elected Prosecutor in management functions of the office. Applicants must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and have a valid Washington State Driver’s License. Prior employment experience in a criminal justice or legal field is preferred, but not required. This is an at will salaried position, which is currently classified at Range EE1 of the 2023 Exempt Employee Salary Schedule. The current range is from $52,390.46 to $66,864.97 annually. Initial step placement at time of hiring is dependent upon prior relevant experience and qualifications.
