Adams County Integrated Health Care has an opening for an Environmental Health Director. Duties include but not limited to; providing professional and technical oversight for various programs involving surveillance enforcement of mandated health and sanitary regulations, public education in areas and facilities such as: sewage disposal systems, small public and individual water supplies, solid waste disposal, food establishments, vector control, public swimming pools, physical and chemical hazards, epidemiological investigations, and environmental impact reviews. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in biological, environmental health or closely related field and have a of minimum 5 years’ experience as a sanitarian or environmental health specialist, or a master’s degree involving major study in public health or related field may be substituted for one year of general experience as a sanitarian or environmental health specialist. Must be a registered environmental health specialist, have an OSS designer and inspector certification and have a valid driver’s license.  Bilingual Spanish encouraged to apply. 

This is a full-time, benefited position with a starting yearly salary between $66,865 - $70,208. Initial step placement at time of hiring is dependent upon prior relevant experience and qualifications. Fully paid employee benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life. Adams County participates in the Washington State Retirement Fund.
