Personal Property Appraiser
The Adams County Assessor’s Office is currently accepting applications for Personal Property Appraiser. This position is responsible for appraising and auditing personal property. Duties include, but are not limited to, mailing personal property tax affidavits to taxpayers, preparing a depreciation schedule, and maintaining all property records.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED equivalent, and three (3) years’ experience with accounting and/or tax assessment. Applicants must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and have a valid Washington State Driver’s License.
This is a 40 hours/week, benefited position which is currently classified at Range D of the 2023 Adams County Employee Salary Schedule with a range of $21.34 - $27.95. Initial step placement at time of hiring is dependent upon prior relevant experience and qualifications. Fully paid employee benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life. Adams County participates in the Washington State Retirement Fund.
