POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
ADAMS COUNTY ADULT PROBATION
OFFICER/MANAGER
Adams County District Court invites applications for an Adult Probation Officer/Manager. This is a full-time position located primarily in Othello and serves both District Court offices within Adams County.
This position is an at-will, professional management position responsible for the development, implementation, coordination, and administration of the Adams County Adult Probation programs, policies, and services. The position requires frequent travel between the District Court offices located in Othello and Ritzville. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, social work, sociology, or a related field, and a minimum of one (1) year direct work experience in adult or juvenile probationary casework. These requirements may be substituted by a satisfactory combination of education, experience, and training which provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position. Persons in this position must be bi-lingual in English/Spanish languages, successfully pass a criminal history background check, and have a valid Washington State driver’s license. Persons in this position must also attend the Washington State Criminal Justice Commission Adult Services Academy within one year of hire.
This position is a full-time, benefited position with a starting yearly salary between $4365.87 - $5572.08 DOE. Initial step placement at time of hiring is dependent upon prior relevant experience and qualifications. Fully paid employee benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life. Adams County participates in the Washington State Retirement Fund.
