Engineering Technician

Adams County Public Works is accepting applications for the position of Engineering Technician. This person will work full-time while assisting the County Engineer with establishing, constructing, and improving all county roads and structures.  Advanced experience with surveys, inspections, design, and maintaining roads and bridges is essential.

An associate degree in engineering or related field and two years progressively responsible work experience in engineering and inspection of bridges and roads are required. Extensive knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered in place of a formal education. Persons must be able to perform physically demanding labor in all weather conditions. Applicants must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and have a valid Washington State Driver’s License.

 Adams County Engineer Technicians are represented within the Public Works Salary Schedule, Range 15, which is currently $27.12 - $32.34. Initial step placement at time of hiring is dependent upon prior relevant experience and qualifications. Fully paid employee benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life. Adams
County participates in the Washington State Retirement Fund.
