                                    MENTAL HEALTH CLINICAL DIRECTOR

 

Adams County is seeking a dedicated and experienced Mental Health Clinical Director to lead our mental health services team. This crucial leadership position is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality mental health care to our diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of clinical expertise, administrative acumen, and visionary leadership to guide our mental health programs. Responsibilities:

As Mental Health Clinical Director, candidates are responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating mental health programs and services. Duties include supervising clinical staff, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of patient care. Persons oversee the development and implementation of treatment plans, coordinate with other healthcare providers and community organizations, and manage the department's budget. Additionally, persons are expected to stay current with the latest developments in mental health treatment, implement evidence-based practices, and contribute to the organization's strategic planning. The role involves fostering a positive work environment, mentoring staff, and promoting ongoing professional development. Persons play a key role in quality assurance, risk management, and continuous improvement of mental health services.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must possess a master’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field. Current licensure as a mental health professional in WA Sate is required, along with a minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Demonstrated expertise in a range of mental health treatments and modalities is essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program development, staff management, and budget administration. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial, as is the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Experience with electronic health records systems and proficiency in data analysis for program evaluation are required. Knowledge of relevant state and federal mental health regulations, including HIPAA, is necessary. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care, cultural competence, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Salary and Benefits: This is a full-time, benefited position which is currently classified at Range M3 of the 2024 Adams County Employee Salary Schedule of $81,885 - $99,531. Initial step placement at time of hiring is dependent upon prior relevant experience and qualifications. Fully paid employee benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life. Adams County participates in the Washington State Retirement Fund.
